Mr Reza Nassab sees liposuction patients in London at CLNQ, Battersea Reach, and operates at a private hospital in London. Patients from across the capital and those travelling in from elsewhere in the UK or abroad are welcome. Liposuction costs from £7,500 for one area, and follow-up is planned around where you live.
An overview of liposuction
Liposuction refines body contour by removing stubborn fat from beneath the skin through small, discreet incisions. It is commonly used on the abdomen, love handles, back, thighs, knees, arms and chin. The procedure is designed for shape rather than weight: it works best when you are near a stable weight and your skin has enough elasticity to adapt to the new contour. Depending on your needs, Mr Nassab may suggest traditional liposuction, Vaser liposuction or 360 liposuction around the waist.
Meeting Mr Nassab at Battersea Reach
Consultations take place at CLNQ, Battersea Reach, on the Thames in south-west London. Mr Nassab will listen to what you would like to change, go through your medical history and any medications, and examine the areas of concern. He will explain which technique he recommends and why, what a realistic result looks like for your body, and the recovery you should plan for. You leave with a written quotation and are encouraged to reflect before booking. The consultation fee is £150, charged separately from surgery.
Is liposuction suitable for you?
Good candidates are adults aged 18 and over in good health, close to a stable weight, with reasonable skin tone and fat that persists despite exercise and a sensible diet. Liposuction does not treat loose, overhanging skin or stretched abdominal muscles, and it is best postponed while weight is still changing, including during treatment with weight-loss medication. Mr Nassab will tell you plainly if another approach would serve you better.
Your operation in London
Surgery is carried out at a private hospital in London with full overnight facilities. On the day of surgery you will be seen by your anaesthetist, and Mr Nassab will mark the areas with you standing. Most procedures are under general anaesthetic. Depending on the extent of treatment, you may go home the same day or stay one night. An adult should accompany you home and stay with you for the first night.
Travelling in for liposuction
Many London patients live locally, but others travel in from the Home Counties, other parts of the UK, or overseas. If you are travelling, plan to stay within easy reach of London for at least the first week, when you will have your wound check and should avoid long journeys. Flying soon after surgery increases the risk of blood clots, so Mr Nassab will give you individual advice on when it is reasonable to travel home. Mr Nassab also practises in Manchester, Knutsford and Dubai, which can help with continuity for patients who move between locations.
Aftercare and follow-up
- Compression: a garment is worn day and night for the first weeks, typically for around six weeks in total.
- Wound check: a nurse review around one week after surgery.
- Surgeon reviews: follow-up with Mr Nassab at Battersea Reach, or at another of his clinics if more convenient.
- Remote updates: photographs may be used between visits for patients who live further away, alongside in-person reviews.
- Urgent concerns: you will have contact details for the team at all times.
Contact the team the same day for fever or spreading redness. Seek same-day advice from your GP or NHS 111 for sudden one-sided leg swelling or calf pain, and call 999 for chest pain or breathlessness.
Returning to London life
Most people with office-based jobs return after one to two weeks, and commuting on busy public transport may feel more comfortable after the first week or so, once soreness has eased. Gentle walking is encouraged from day one; gym work and running usually resume after four to six weeks. Swelling fluctuates for several months, so the final contour is judged at around three to six months.
Cost of liposuction in London
