Before & Afters

“I can’t thank my surgeon Dr Reza Sedghi Nassab, he’s been fantastic, answered all my questions, made me feel at ease & felt in safe hands. He’s a very good surgeon with a lovely bedside manner.”

The 360 liposuction is performed under a general anaesthetic.  We usually start with the back and then turn the patient to do the front.  360 means that the liposuction is performed 360 degrees around the body.

Liposuction is the procedure to remove fat from the body.  There are a number of different techniques that can help break down the fat making it easier to remove such as Vaser or Water Assisted system such as the BodyJet.  The liposuction is usually performed with the power assisted device such as MicroAire.

The amount of fat that can be safely removed depends on your weight and usually limited to a few litres in one procedure.  A study published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal revealed higher rates of complications in patients having higher volumes of liposuction compared to their Body Mass Index.

Liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in the area of treatment.  These cells are removed permanently.  If you, however, put on weight then the remaining fat cells may increase in size and result in recurrence of the fatty deposits.

The normal recommendation is 6 weeks for strenuous physical activity. Exercising earlier may cause increases in blood pressure and heart rate that may increase the risk of bleeding. You will also be wearing compression garments for 6 weeks following your procedure.

Manual lymphatic massage can be started after a week of the procedure but we recommend light massage to commence with and then by 3-4 weeks more intensive massage can be performed.

The scars are usually small incisions about 1cm in the pubic area and lower or mid back for 360 liposuction.
