- Local anaesthetic: numbing injections so you stay awake and comfortable. Earlobe repair rarely needs a general anaesthetic, so there is usually no separate anaesthetist's fee.
- Facility fee: use of the treatment room or theatre, sterile instruments and nursing support.
- Dressings: the dressings applied after the repair and advice on caring for the wound.
- Routine follow-up: a check of healing and removal of any stitches, followed by a later review of the scar.
The £150 consultation
Before any treatment you meet Mr Nassab for a consultation, which costs £150 and is always separate from the procedure fee. He looks at the size and shape of the tear, the thickness of the lobe and the quality of the surrounding skin, and asks about any history of raised or keloid scars. He also discusses whether you would like to wear earrings again, as this influences how the repair is designed. You receive a clear plan and written quote.
What can change the quote
Every earlobe is different, and a few factors can affect the fee:
- One or both ears: repairing both at the same appointment costs less than two separate procedures.
- Type of damage: a partial tear or an elongated piercing hole is simpler than a lobe split all the way through.
