Why the brow matters
Many people who feel their upper eyelids look heavy actually have a brow that has descended with age. When the brow drops, it pushes skin down onto the upper lid, can give a tired or cross expression and may cause the forehead muscles to work constantly to lift it. Combining with upper blepharoplasty
A brow lift and upper eyelid surgery address different layers, and many people benefit from both. Non-surgical alternatives
Anti-wrinkle injections can sometimes give a small lift to the tail of the brow and soften forehead lines. At CLNQ, anti-wrinkle injections are provided by CLNQ’s non-surgical doctors, not by Mr Nassab, and are priced separately. The effect is temporary and modest, and it will not correct significant brow descent. Mr Nassab does not offer thread lifts. For people who are not ready for surgery, a period of trying non-surgical treatment first can be a reasonable way to decide how much change they want, and there is no pressure to proceed with a brow lift after consultation.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising around the forehead and eyes are common for the first week or two, and some numbness of the scalp is expected, usually improving over months. Sleeping with your head raised helps swelling settle. Most people return to desk-based work after about two weeks and avoid strenuous exercise for around four weeks. Any scars are placed to sit within or close to the hairline, or in natural creases, and typically mature over twelve to eighteen months. Report fever or spreading redness to the team the same day, and seek same-day advice from your GP or NHS 111 for sudden one-sided leg swelling or calf pain.
Finance and choosing carefully
Finance may be available through Chrysalis Finance, subject to status. Reza Nassab Ltd is a credit broker, not a lender, and can introduce you to the finance provider, who makes its own lending decision. A brow placed too high can look surprised and is difficult to correct, so careful planning matters more than price. Cheap surgery abroad rarely includes the follow-up needed during healing.
