BodyTite in CheshireKnutsford consultations, with treatment at CLNQ or Deansgate Hospital

Medically reviewed: Last reviewed by Mr Reza Nassab, FRCS Plast —

For patients in Cheshire, Mr Reza Nassab offers BodyTite consultations at CLNQ, King Street, Knutsford. Smaller treatments under local anaesthetic may be carried out at CLNQ, and treatment under general anaesthetic takes place at Deansgate Hospital, Manchester. BodyTite combines fat removal with radiofrequency energy that aims to tighten the overlying skin, making it an option for people with stubborn fat and some looseness. Patients from Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield and Altrincham can keep their care close to home.

How the treatment works

During BodyTite, the treatment area is first numbed with tumescent fluid. A slim internal probe and an external electrode then deliver controlled radiofrequency energy, warming the fat so it can be removed more easily and heating the fibrous framework beneath the skin to encourage it to contract. Built-in sensors track temperature inside and on the surface of the skin. The loosened fat is then removed by liposuction. The combination aims to reshape the area and improve skin firmness in a single procedure.

Consultation at CLNQ, King Street

Mr Nassab will meet you personally in Knutsford to understand your goals, review your medical history and assess the areas you would like to treat. He will look at how much fat is present, how loose the skin is and whether stretch marks or muscle separation are contributing. This allows him to advise whether BodyTite, standard liposuction, Vaser liposuction or a skin-excision operation is most appropriate. You will receive a written quote; BodyTite costs from £6,000 and the £150 consultation fee is charged separately.

On the day of treatment

You will be admitted on the day, meet the nursing team and go through the plan and markings with Mr Nassab. Depending on the extent of treatment, the procedure is done under local anaesthetic, which may be at CLNQ, or under general anaesthetic at Deansgate Hospital in Manchester city centre. A compression garment is fitted in theatre, and after a period of rest on the ward most people go home the same day. Please arrange for someone to drive you and stay with you overnight.

Recovery close to home

Expect soreness, bruising and swelling for the first couple of weeks, and firmness that softens over the following months. The garment is typically worn for four to six weeks. Most people are back at a desk within about a week. Follow-up appointments are arranged locally, and the skin continues to tighten gradually for six to twelve months. For a full timeline, read the BodyTite recovery guide.

Patients from across Cheshire

People travel from Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield, Altrincham, Prestbury and surrounding villages. Having consultations and reviews in Knutsford means short journeys at most stages, which is particularly welcome in the first weeks while wearing a garment. Consultations are also available in the city at CLNQ, Deansgate Square; see BodyTite in Manchester.

Is BodyTite right for you?

It may suit adults aged 18 and over who are near their ideal weight, with localised fat and mild to moderate skin laxity on areas such as the abdomen, flanks, arms, thighs or knees. It will not remove large folds of skin or repair separated tummy muscles; those concerns are better addressed by a tummy tuck or similar procedure. You should be in good health and a non-smoker, with realistic expectations about gradual change. Read BodyTite questions to ask to prepare for your appointment.

Getting ready for BodyTite

Before treatment, keep your weight steady and stop smoking and nicotine products for at least six weeks, as nicotine slows healing. Tell the team about all medicines and supplements, as some increase bleeding. Prepare loose, dark clothing that fits comfortably over a garment, absorbent towels for the first night and easy meals for the first few days. If you commute from Macclesfield or Altrincham, plan about a week off work, and allow longer for larger or combined areas. Avoid booking holidays or events that involve swimwear in the first two to three months.

Safety after treatment

Keep your 24-hour contact number to hand. Contact the team the same day for fever, spreading redness, discharge, blistering or a darkening area of skin, and urgently if a swelling rapidly enlarges or becomes tense and very painful. Seek same-day advice from your GP or NHS 111 for sudden one-sided leg swelling or calf pain, and dial 999 for chest pain or breathlessness. The BodyTite risks page explains potential complications.
