Two procedures, two prices
It helps to know which treatment fits your concern:
- Earlobe reduction, from £2,000: for lobes that are naturally large, long or have lengthened with age and heavy earrings. A wedge of tissue is removed to shorten or reshape the lobe while keeping a natural contour.
- Stretched earlobe repair, from £1,500: for lobes that have been stretched by gauges, flesh tunnels or long-term heavy earrings, leaving a loose loop or enlarged hole. The excess tissue is removed and the lobe is rebuilt.

- Surgeon: Mr Nassab designs the new lobe shape with you and performs the procedure.
- Local anaesthetic: the lobes are numbed with a small injection, so you are awake but comfortable, and the procedure may be carried out at CLNQ.
- Stitches and dressings: fine stitches and simple dressings, with instructions on care.
- Routine follow-up: a review to check healing and, where needed, stitch removal.

What affects the final quote
Most people fall within the published prices. The plan is individual, however, and factors include whether one or both ears are treated, how much tissue needs to be removed, the thickness of the lobe, previous repairs, and whether you have a tendency to raised or keloid scars. Any adjustment is explained and agreed before booking.
Scars and healing
The incisions are placed so that the scar lies along the edge or underside of the lobe where it is least noticeable. Scars are pink at first and typically soften and fade over several months. Some swelling and tenderness are normal for a week or two. Keep the area clean and dry as advised, avoid sleeping on the treated side at first, and protect the scars from strong sun. Contact the team the same day if you notice increasing pain, discharge, fever or spreading redness.
Wearing earrings again
If you want to wear earrings again, the lobe needs time to heal fully before it is re-pierced, and the new piercing is usually placed away from the scar line. Mr Nassab will advise on timing at your follow-up. Choosing lighter earrings afterwards can help reduce further stretching. Anyone with a history of keloid scarring should mention this at consultation, as it influences both the risk and the aftercare plan.
On the day of the procedure
Earlobe procedures are straightforward appointments. You can usually eat normally beforehand and drive yourself home afterwards if you feel comfortable, although some people prefer to be accompanied. The local anaesthetic injection stings briefly, then the lobe goes numb. Each ear takes a relatively short time, and both ears can often be treated in the same visit. You will leave with simple dressings and written aftercare instructions, and most people return to work the same day or the day after.
