What is included in the price?
The quote covers the surgeon’s fee, your consultant anaesthetist, hospital and theatre charges, and all routine post-operative appointments. There are no hidden fees.
What affects the cost of a facelift?
The biggest factor is the technique and extent. A mini or targeted lift addresses early jowling and is quicker. A full facelift, and particularly a deep plane facelift, releases and repositions the deeper facial tissues — more technically demanding, longer in theatre, and more expensive, but generally giving a more natural and longer-lasting result. Adding a neck lift, eyelid surgery or fat transfer increases the total.
Is a cheaper facelift a false economy?
Often, yes. Facial surgery is unforgiving — the result is on permanent display, and revision surgery is harder than getting it right the first time. The difference between a natural result and an obviously ‘operated’ one lies in the surgeon’s technique and judgement. I would always prioritise a GMC-registered plastic surgeon experienced in facial surgery, operating in an accredited hospital, over the lowest quote or a package abroad.

Facial surgery is the least forgiving surgery I perform, and it is the area where I most strongly advise against choosing on price. The difference between a natural, refreshed result and an obviously ‘operated’ look is technique and judgement — and revision facial surgery is considerably harder than getting it right the first time. A deep plane facelift costs more because it is more technically demanding and takes longer in theatre, but it repositions the deeper tissues rather than pulling skin, which is why the result tends to look more natural and last longer.
