Nayak Cakir Deep Plane Facelift and Rhinoplasty Masterclass

In September 2023, Mr Nassab attended the Nayak Cakir Masterclass in Istanbul, Turkey.  This was a masterclass to teach the latest techniques in facelift surgery and rhinoplasty.

The main facelift surgeon was Dr Mike Nayak, an internationally renowned surgeon from the United States.  He has become very well known for his deep plane technique and is based in St Louis.  During the course, Dr Nayak taught his approach to a patient with an ageing face.  He shared his experiences of the deep plane facelift technique.  He performed a live surgery which was a face and neck lift, and browlift.

The rhinoplasty surgeon was Baris Cakir, an well known surgeon from Istanbul, Turkey.  He has been a leader in the field of preservation rhinoplasty.  The preservation rhinoplasty surgery differs from the traditional structural procedures.  Dr Cakir performed a rhinoplasty procedure on a patient with a significant dorsal hump.

The meeting was well attended by numerous plastic and facial plastic surgeons from around the world.  The surgeons were from places such as the United States, Thailand, Canada, Spain, Netherlands and the UK.  The first day involved lectures from Dr Nayak and Dr Cakir.  The second day was live surgeries by these surgeons whilst the final day was a hands on workshop. Rhinoplasty in Turkey is a very common procedure and probably the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery in Turkey.
