Earlobe Repair
Treatment overview
Ear lobes may split or stretch with time after use of ear rings. This can result in either a split ear lobe or widened piercing hole. Recently there has also been a trend for various piercings that stretch the earlobes significantly. Once these piercings are removed there is excessive stretched skin of the earlobe and a large hole. The procedure can be performed to rectify these problems.
Earlobes that have been stretched significantly are likely to have loose redundant skin that will need to be reconstructed. Specialist techniques such as using rotation flaps may needed for repair. This may help aid a more rapid recovery and ability to wear earrings earlier.
